The basement apartment was in its original state: a stair with a steel rail, a white-tiled bathroom and worn surfaces. We took it back to concrete, levelled the floor with screed and built it up again with new stud partitions and underfloor heating.
The bathroom is the centrepiece: terracotta wall tiles, a grey large-format shower with black fittings and an LED-lit niche, dark cabinets with brass knobs and recessed lighting that washes the tiles. At the stair we built a panelled wall and an enclosed under-stair space with a hidden door, plus grey wardrobes; the hallway got new dark grey doors and a backlit mirror, and the exterior door was renovated from the inside.
The project carries photos of every stage: the flat as it was, the strip-out, the rebuild and the finished space.
